In School Violence Prevention Program

 

Violence Prevention Program

A school-based anti-violence program focusing on the dynamics of family violence how to recognize abusive behaviors and where to go for support and help.  This program targets school-aged children from grade one to 12.

Student Participants are taught:

  • to recognize the dynamics of family violence

  • to recognize abusive behaviour in themselves and others

  • where to turn for community support for change

  • to recognize warning signs of abuse in their family, community and themselves

Pesentation Topics:

  • Feelings and Bullying

  • Sexual Abuse

  • Safety Plans

  • Family Violence

  • Dating Violence Prevention, Safety and the Law
