Stopping The Violence

 

Program Description

The Stopping the Violence Program (STV) offers a service that involves counseling, education, life and social skill development and referrals. It focusses on women, men and children who have witnessed abuse, threats or violence and who are working toward creating a lifestyle free from an abusive environment.

The Stopping the Violence Program is a mobile service intended to provide service to First Nations Bands from Harrison Mills to Boothroyed to Manning Park.

What we do

  • Provide one-on-one counseling

  • Facilitate groups

  • Public Awareness presentations

  • Provide educational information and awareness about the dynamics of abuse and violence

  • Provide educational information about healthy relationships

  • Provide information and bring awareness of local resources
